What an excellent time we had last night! We were delighted by wonderful food dishes made from local and organic sources - a feast for the eyes and the tummy! And, many community organizations provided food for the soul with their updates on what they are doing to progress the well-being of Lake County residents.
The evening's hallmark was the in-depth presentation by Dr. Glenda Humiston, the California Director for the US Department of Agriculture. She shared how the USDA worked with rural communities, provided insights into programs Lake County businesses could take advantage of, and gave her view on what needed to happen to build a sustainable local economy.
