(Lakeport, CA) hOurMobile, the hOurworld app, is now available for download from Google Play and from the iTunes App Store.
The app was developed by Kyungsik (Keith) Han, Ph.D. candidate at Penn State University, under the supervision of Professor John M. Carroll. The design was informed by research funded by the National Science Foundation under Grant No. IIS-1218544. Dr. Victoria Bellotti at PARC led the research team there.
You must be a member of the Time Bank of Thrive Lake County to take advantage of the app – and it’s easy enough to become one if you’re not one already. Just select “Join hOurworld” on the launch screen (see blue image below), and the app should find the Time Bank of Thrive Lake County if you are accessing the app within Lake County. If you are an existing Time Bank of Thrive Lake County member, you can use your time bank login and password to log into the app.
The developers will be running a survey in a few weeks to evaluate mobile app effectiveness. An incentive for survey completion will be provided, such as an Amazon gift certificate or a time dollar. Get more information about the survey (and sign up) on their website.
Time Bankcers can earn hOurs for downloading the mobile app:
