C-Cole-Lewis Internet Marketing Coaching & Consulting
  • Turn off my office lights, my computer and the electricity to all devices when I'm not using them.
  • Bicycle to clients in Lakeport whenever possible
  • Rely on internet information about local businesses I wish to use, and not collect their printed marketing materials (biz cards OK)
  • Buy secondhand equipment whenever possible
  • Buy food from local farmers who grow sustainably

Dancing TreePeople Farm

Just and Local Economy:
  • Buy locally, sustainably, grown produce from local vendors whenever possible (or grow our own)
  • Buy farm supplies locally whenever possible
  • Pay a just wage for any work performed at our farm
  • Create two summer internships (jobs)
  • Sustainably produce high quality, nutritious local food: walnuts, eggs, fruit, herbs and vegetables

Environmental Sustainability
  • Install solar hot water (we already have 3KW of solar panels)
  • Use a solar oven for cooking most oven-based meals in the summer and fall
  • Use re-usable dishes, utensils and napkins for any events at the farm
  • Reduce waste by re-use, purchasing used items, and by purchasing longer-lasting quality items rather than disposable ones
  • Install a hedgerow to create habitat and attract beneficial insects
  • In the back walnut orchard, sow a low growing nitrogen-fixing cover crop to avoid mowing and the importation of outside nutrients

Stronger Community Ties
  • Sponsor 2-3 transformational events (permaculture and local economic or sustainability related)
  • Host the Local Food Round Table at the farm annually
  • Participate in the local organic Farmer's Alliance
  • Provide tours  upon request
  • Provide walnuts, eggs and fresh herbs to local hospitality businesses
